We Work To Keep Grandparents Involved

Child Custody and Visitation

The Faulhaber Family Law, LLC, helps grandparents maintain close relationships with their grandchildren. This is especially important in the event the parents of the grandchild divorce or when one or both of the parents pass away. Attorney Tamar Faulhaber helps grandparents establish their rights when it comes to issues of visitation, child custody or guardianship involving their grandchildren.

Georgia And The Rights Of Grandparents

The laws of Georgia recognize the importance of grandparents maintaining an active role in the raising of children. Grandparents in our state have the right to seek visitation rights in the event of a divorce.

Georgia law also allows for the possibility of grandparent visitation in the event that there would be harm to a child’s health or welfare without this visitation. This is particularly relevant if the child previously resided with the grandparent for a significant period of time, the grandparent has a history of providing financial support to the child, or the grandparent regularly visits his or her grandchildren.

The primary role that our attorneys play when representing grandparents is making certain the needs of children are considered. As in every family law matter relating to children, the best interests of the children are of utmost importance.

As someone who is passionate about family law issues related to children, our attorneys know how to present evidence demonstrating what is best for the children. We also aggressively fight for the rights of our clients who also happen to be grandparents.
